When Holiness Confronts Humanity: Trust or Retreat ?

When Holiness Confronts Humanity: Trust or Retreat? What is our response when we encounter God—do we push Him away, or do we trust and obey, even when we don’t fully understand? When Fear Overcomes Luke 5:8 – When Simon Peter saw this, he fell at Jesus’ knees and said, “Go away from me, Lord; I am a sinful man!” The passage begins with Jesus preaching by the Sea of Galilee. He spots a few fishermen washing their nets and steps into Simon Peter’s boat to teach the crowd. Once finished, He turns to Peter and says, “Put out into deep water, and let down the nets for a catch.” Simon, weary from a long night of fishing, responds, “Master, we’ve worked hard all night and haven’t caught anything. To each his own

Hopes none, lives many Stars fallen, on the ground beneath Buried souls, inside the cold Breathing, yet dead in the living.  Dawn’s coming, but the light unseen  Dark clouds, over the stormy sea Crashing waves, dragging underneath  Sinking sand, going in deep.  Wailing voices, in deaf ears Reaching out, unnoticed tears  “No time, can’t be there for you  On your own, I have mine too.”

For what is worth

Clear skies, scary nights, Needs and wants, in a fight, Truth and lie, what’s to hide, Right or wrong, pick a side. Love or hate, trust or not, Hurt and pain, it is a lot, Heart’s insane, drugs in game, A great escape, all in vain. Darkness reigns, daylight hides,  Rising waves, and gushing tides,  Silent screams, and empty tears, Apparent shame, and wasteful fears. To live or die, run or fight, To go down the climb, or rise to height, Take a breath, and close your eyes, Look around, then look inside. A ray of hope, a shining light, A spark to stop, and do what’s right, Fight the odd, and make that choice, For what is worth, always has a price.
